A unique collection of images...

Being ultra secular, I have an appreciation for different ideas and their meanings that I hope you might try sharing regardless of your faith or lack thereof...

A Black Madonna from Europe

I have always liked the madonna. This is a very regal one with Christ and Mary splendidly adorned. Thy Kingdom Come...

They bring peace and compassion into the world, with great vengeance against what is evil.

A dark and fanciful image of a witches coven

Pagans and witches have long suffered unflattering images which suggest they intend harm unto all mankind.

The Summerian Necronomicon

A beautifully bound edition embossed in the many magickal sigils explained within. Pazuzu is in here with his brother Humwawa, as is Ktulu. A book of incantations and exorcisms.

Classic image of Baphomet by Eliphas Levi

The knights Templar of France took a liking to Baphomet.

He endures also as the image within the inverted pentagram

of the Church of Satan. He represents pagan virtues of man's animal nature but that does not mean savagery.

Anton Szandor LaVey

Looking very diabolical, here is the founder of the Church of Satan. He well understood man's need for dogmatic images and how they effect us. His Satan is purely dogmatic, non-existant and purely representative. Something that serves not to deny man his earthly delights, and will not tolerate his suffering.

The Great Buddha of Kamakura

I always loved this representation of Buddha which rests in Japan. A beautifull face, such a grand and peaceful Buddha.

His compassion for us was expressed by acknowledging that life is suffering but suffering can be stopped.

He taught to follow the noble eightfold path, such as right mindfulness, right thought, right action... Who can argue against that?

Shiva the Destroyer

Another deity I've always had great regard for. His dance destroys the world in preparation for its rebirth. There's so much detail and signifigance to his appearance.

Well, I hope you have enjoyed this grand tour, free from disapproval and bigotry. We have always found our own way to understand our life and its meaning. Our cultures and upbringing influence us. There is truly no need to disrespect someone else's beliefs if we all desire compassion. Seek to know and to appreciate; to be wiser and more compassionate.
